Details: On Saturday morning, May 11, 1991, Yanick Fortin was last seen playing alone in the backyard of the family home, which overlooked the Saint-Maurice River. Apparently Yanick’s father, Adrien, suspected that Yanick may have fallen in river trying to pick up the family cat.
Over 150 people, mostly volunteers, searched the woods surrounding the Fortin house. Police brought in helicopters, tracking dogs, and all terrain vehicles to locate the young boy. Police divers were also called in to search the Saint Maurice River.

To date, Yanick remains missing. There have been no sightings.
