Details: Patricia was last seen running into the forest near her family residence in Yarrow, BC. While the initial search of the Yarrow area was unsuccessful, a later sighting was reported in the Sardis area (Chilliwack) that same afternoon, where a witness identified her from photographs. She was reported to be despondent and in need of medical attention.

In May 2025, the Chilliwack RCMP issued a public appeal for extended family members of Patricia Flynn. Because DNA collection was not standard practice in 1982, she had no siblings and Patricia’s parents died shortly after her disappearance, investigators lack a reference sample to compare against unidentified remains found across Canada and internationally.

Law enforcement believes that Patricia may have had extended family “back East” in Canada and are urging anyone who believes they share familial DNA with her to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 (Case File: 1982-4030)

There has been online speculation among amateur investigators regarding potential matches to unidentified persons. One theory discussed on Reddit suggests a possible connection to an unidentified woman in Hawaii (posted to the Doe Network) , which is based on physical similarities and eye color, though this remains unconfirmed by official sources.

The Jane Doe was found in 2004 at Ala Moana Beach Park in Oahu and transferred to Kauai to live out her days in the state hospital, Mahelona. She had no memory of who she was or any other details regarding her life. She died on April 27, 2013 without discovering her identity. Her name and origin are unknown, but she sometimes referred to herself as Ah or Pansie which is believed to be both aliases. She also spoke with an accent which was undetermined. It is believed that she has been in Hawaii since 1994.
