Details: Ian disappeared from the mental health unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment for three weeks. At the time he went missing, he was suffering from schizophrenia and had reportedly stopped taking his medication. Eight days after he vanished, on March 10, 2010, his wallet was found in the Acadian Lines parking lot in Sydney.
Police said that Ian may not want to be found and forced back into treatment.
