Details: Carolyn was last seen shortly after midnight on May 17, 1984, at a Mohawk service station in Peace River. Earlier that evening, she had been watching the Stanley Cup Finals with friends. After the game she dropped her friend off and vanished.

Her father discovered her dark blue 1978 Ford Fairmont abandoned the next morning on Kaufman Hill Road, just a short distance from her parents’ home. The car was found with the keys missing (some reports say they were in the ignition) and her purse left inside on the seat. A window was rolled halfway down, and a muddy boot-print was reportedly found on the driver’s side door.

In May 1994, police officially announced they believed Carolyn was the victim of homicide.

Investigators have explored several leads, including a black pickup truck seen following Carolyn’s friend and reports of a man in a brown Oldsmobile Cutlass who was considered a person of interest.
