Details: Jona was last seen at approximately 7:30 am near 2275 Weston Road. He also reportedly spoke with his sister-in-law by phone later that afternoon at 5:30 pm. Jona was reported as missing on January 18, 1982. Investigators believe he visited the Gasworks Tavern, a bar he frequented at the time, which was located in the Yonge and Dundonald streets area.
In September 2023, Toronto Police released a new photo and renewed their appeal for information to solve the decades-old puzzle of his disappearance.
