Details: Susan was reported missing from Middle River, Nova Scotia on December 3rd, 2021. Susan had been missing since 12:00pm when she took their dog for a walk near their home in Middle River, N.S. He says when he came home from getting groceries in nearby Baddeck, she hadn’t returned – but the dog eventually did with a broken leash. Susan was suffering from dementia and had a recent history of becoming lost. He contacted the police to report her as missing and by the evening, a large search team was combing the area around Gold Brook Road. The area surrounding her home is rural and wooded with a large rapid river nearby. Susan’s home isn’t far from a major bridge washout along the Cabot Trail at Gold Brook. The section of highway was severely damaged during the rain and wind storm that lashed Cape Breton and Eastern Mainland Nova Scotia nearly two weeks previous to her disappearance. The searchers faced snow squalls, reduced visibility and temperatures well below freezing much of the weekend.
Susan is presumed deceased. If you remember seeing her on December 3, 2021, please contact the any of the following.
