Details: On the morning he vanished, Ian followed his typical routine by making breakfast and brewing a fresh pot of coffee. He always got up first to walk and feed their dog before he woke up his wife which would be at approximately 7:30am. His wife woke up at 8:00am and found the dog had been fed and a fresh pot of coffee had been brewed, however Ian was nowhere to be found. She found his wallet, keys and phone.
At the time of his disappearance, Ian had started a new job and the change triggered anxiety which drastically affected his ability to get a good nights sleep. He was only sleeping just an hour or two a night. When you’re experiencing insomnia, your mind and thought processes can become irrational. Under normal circumstances, Ian would not be described as suicidal, however with his insomnia that may have changed. He had also recently been interested in stories of people starting their lives over going off-grid.
Whether Ian has died by suicide or had walked away from his life is unknown.
