Details: Marcie disappeared between one and two in the morning near the Drake Hotel after being released from jail on December 27, 1998. She told her mother that she was on her way home when she called home from the police station. She was stopping to pick up some cigarettes. Marcie’s mother, Gloria, her boyfriend and other relatives were waiting for her with a turkey and presents so that they could have a belated Christmas celebration. She never arrived home. She also never showed for her scheduled court appearance. Disappearing like this was out of character for Marcie. She called her mother daily without fail.
