Details: On the day he went missing, Robbie was with his mother and baby sister at Holmes Point Beach in Georgina Township. They then attended a day camp at the Church Of The Nazarene, where Robert’s mother worked as a volunteer. At approximately 4:00pm, Robbie told his mother he was going to walk home to deliver his newspapers and then come back later on his bike. His home which was located in Wilfrid, Ontario was less than 3 km away. He never arrived at home.
There were 3 witness sightings:
A camper saw him leaving the camp on foot around 4:30pm, heading toward the beach.
Another camper saw him in the beach area around 4:45pm.
He was last seen around 5:30pm by two teenagers near the former Oakes Restaurant on Holmes Point Road.
When his family went looking for him later that night, the stack of newspapers was found undelivered at the street corner where they were usually left for Robbie to deliver. Extensive land and water searches failed to locate him. His case, originating in Pefferlaw, Ontario, Canada, remains an active cold case. Private investigators have resumed searches as recently as August 2023.Â
