Details: On August 22, 1988 Cathy left her residence in St. Andrews, Manitoba to go to Winnipeg to fill out a job application. She had made arrangements to meet a male acquaintance, who was going to help her complete the application. During the late afternoon and early evening, She and her friend attended two bars and eventually ended up at a restaurant . Cathy left her friend at the restaurant. From the restaurant, Cathy attended the residence of another male acquaintance, who invited her in for a visit. She indicated she had to get her purse from her friends car and she was going to be back in half an hour. This is the last time Cathy was seen. She was reported missing by her mother the following morning – August 23, 1988.
To date, Cathy has not been seen or heard from and remains missing.
Cathy’s case is being handled by Project Devote, a joint task force between the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP, focusing on missing and murdered Indigenous women cases.
