Rachel Alleyne was a 30-year-old mother of three, who was murdered occurred in Toronto on October 9, 2007.

On Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at approximately 8:26pm, police responded to a shooting at a townhouse complex at 20 Driftwood Avenue in the Jane St. and Finch Ave. W. area of Toronto.
Rachel was socializing with friends in the backyard of the townhouse, playing dominoes, when multiple shots were fired into the gathering by at least two or three individuals. She was an innocent bystander and was shot multiple times, she died shortly after arrival at the hospital. Three other people were also injured but survived. Six children were inside the nearby townhouse at the time but were unharmed.
Police believe the intended target was at the gathering but was not injured. Security cameras in the area captured images of three men, all wearing dark, hooded sweatshirts, walking toward the townhouse before the shooting and running through a playground afterward. Police have released these surveillance images to the public.
The Toronto Police Service Homicide Squad continues to investigate this cold case and continue to seek information.
