Missing from: Edmonton, AB
Date of birth: October 1, 1985
Age at disappearance: 32 yrs
Gender: Female
Eye color: Brown
Hair: Black
Height: 173 cms / 5ft 8in

Notable: Nadia has pierced ears and a noticeable scar on her left ring finger. She also requires daily medication for bipolar disorder. Without her medication, she may appear confused or disoriented.
Nadia was last seen wearing: Dark clothing, potentially including a hijab (though she may not have been wearing it when she left her vehicle)

Details: On the morning of December 8, 2017, Nadia’s mother arrived at her daughter’s home for their daily carpool to the private Arabic school where they both taught. Nadia was not there, and her husband reportedly told her mother that Nadia was supposed to pick her up instead. Nadia did not show up for work and stopped answering her phone.
Later that day, around 12:30pm, her black Chevrolet Equinox was found overturned in a ditch near Rundle Park, about a 15-minute drive from her home. Her cell phone and a single shoe were found inside or near the vehicle, but there was no other sign of Nadia. Police and volunteers conducted extensive searches of the park area and the river, but these efforts came up empty.
Nadia had a history of bipolar disorder and law enforcement says she may have been experiencing an episode at the time of her disappearance. While she had left home briefly in the past, she always returned quickly and maintained contact with her family.
