Details: Heinz Meyer was last heard from on the week of September 18, 2008. Police officers found Meyer’s vehicle abandoned on a road near Haines Junction on September 18, but no one has reported seeing any sign of him. Heinz had lived in Haines Junction for over 20 years at the time of his disappearance. According to Constable Dane McCarty, people who know him well have all said it is not like him to disappear into the bush, as he is neither a hunter or a camper.

People have reported seeing the 64-year old man in both Haines Junction and Whitehorse, where he formerly lived, but none of the possible sightings have been confirmed.

Air and ground searches for Heinz Meyer were unsuccessful and he remains missing.
