Emily Osmond is pictured here in the 1960s or 1970s, according to her family. Osmond lived in Yukon for many years, and her relatives are asking Yukoners who remember her to come forward.  (Submitted to CBC by Hazel Buffalo Robe)

Details about Emily’s Case: Emily lived a reclusive lifestyle on a small acreage on the Northern edge of Kawacatoose First Nation. She happily lived in a shack without running water or electricity. The SACP has stated that Emily did not have regular contact with her family or friends and the last known contact with them was August 29, 2007. She was last physically seen on the September 9, 2007, by her hired helper – a man that would help her chop wood. On a calendar where she used to keep track of her medication, the days were marked off until September 13, 2007. Emily’s family reported her missing one week later. Her disappearance is very unusual as her vehicle and personal belongings including medication were left at her residence. Her dogs were also left behind, unattended. Extensive searches were conducted in a 25-kilometre radius around her property.

To date, Emily has not been heard from or located.
