Details: Noriharu was last seen on July 24, 2005 at the airport on Airport Road in Sault Ste. Marie. He left in in his own plane destined for Marathon – a Cessna C-172 aircraft which had white wings with red tips, a red fuselage with white stripe and white underside. Top of engine cowling was red. The Cessna was last heard from as it was circling over Goulais Bay. He never arrived in Marathon and has not been heard from since.
In May of 2006 an extensive ground, air and marine search was conducted and no sign or Noriharu or his plane was located. He remains missing.
