Details: Richele was reported missing to the Regina Police Service on September 5, 2013. She was last seen leaving a residence in the 900 block of Rae Street after a relative’s birthday party on August 9, 2013. From this point, Richele’s case went cold.

In May of 2014, Clayton Bo Eichler was charged with the first degree murder of Richele and offering an indignity to a human body. He had also been charged with the first degree of another Indigenous woman, Kelly Nicole Goforth, who was murdered on September 24, 2013. Her body was found a day later wrapped in plastic and put in a hockey bag. The bag was found in a dumpster. She had been reported as missing on September 5, 2013.
Images found on Clayton’s cellphone and computer showed Richele wrapped in his bedspread, a sleeping bag, and the back of his vehicle. Her head and face were covered up and she was partially undressed. She is presumed to be deceased in these images, as she appeared to have ligature marks on her neck. Richele was likely murdered between August to December 2013.

Clayton was about to go on trial for the first degree murder of Kelly Goforth & Richele Bear, and surprised everyone by pleading guilty to the second degree murder of both women in September 2016 and was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole for twenty years – with no chance of parole. The charge in Richele’s case of Offering and indignity to a body has been stayed – likely because her remains have not been located.

If you remember seeing Clayton Bo Eichler between August 9, 2013 and December 2013, you may be able to finally locate the remains of Richele Lee Bear. She deserves the dignity of a proper burial and be laid to rest with her family. He was addicted to meth when he murdered Richele and doesn’t remember where her body is.
