Details: Claudette was last seen walking away from the Lincoln Motor Inn on McPhillips Street on the morning of her disappearance. That area is known for crime and sex trafficking. Law enforcement traced a phone card that Claudette had purchased and determined that her last known whereabouts were on Selkirk Avenue and Charles street where she used a payphone to make a call. This call was reportedly made outside what was a bingo hall at the time to Claudette’s sister at 6:30 am asking for help as she was traveling with a truck driver who did not want to let her go.
Claudette’s family reported her missing to the Winnipeg police and were given an incident number. Unfortunately they did not release her photo to the media for 10 days after she was reported as missing which was a critical amount of time lost.
Claudette’s family reported to the media that she had struggled with chemical dependency and engaged in survival sex work. She was working on her recovery and engaged to be married when she disappeared. Family is offering $20,000 dollars for information leading to Claudette’s whereabouts.
To date, Claudette has not been seen or heard from and remains missing
