Details about Martha’s case: On June 8, 2012 at approximately 5:00pm, Martha was last seen walking near her residence in Perth Andover, New-Brunswick. Martha suffers from short-term memory loss as a result of a brain aneurysm she suffered in 2002, but she has no additional medical conditions. Martha is an avid walker and considered in good physical shape. She left her purse, with money and identification in it, in her apartment so it appears she was not planning on being gone for a long time. Martha is a creature of habit and did the same thing, at the same time, every day. She was often seen walking in the village of Perth-Andover and surrounding area.

An extensive search took place including five search teams with 150 volunteers covered more than 250 hectares since the search started Saturday June 9 near Martha’s apartment in Perth-Andover. A Cormorant military helicopter was called in Sunday June 10 and a fixed-wing aircraft joined the search. As well, volunteers on ATVs searched along 800 kms of trails, woods roads and abandoned railway lines.

To date, Martha has not been heard from or located.
