Details about Martin’s case: On October 9, 1959, Martin and his cousin rode an Algoma Central Railway freight train from Sault Ste. Marie to Hawk Junction, Ontario, to visit his parents. They were apparently headed home for Thanksgiving. The train came to a stop in Eton at Mile 120, leaving the train car they were riding in behind. Martin failed to reboard the train and was left behind. Martin was last seen in Perry, Ontario, on October 10, 1959. He stopped for water before walking north along the railroad tracks.

Martin’s father passed in 1972, his mother in 2011. At some point, Martin’s name, birth date and the last date he was seen (as the date he died) was added to his brother’s headstone at the Pine Grove cemetery in Hawk Junction. (I am guessing this is a family plot)
To date, Martin has not been seen or heard from. His disappearance remains unsolved.
