Hair: Brown, light, shoulder length

Amber was last seen wearing: A blue pullover sweater, a green t-shirt and grey pajama pants.
Notable: Amber wears glasses. She also has a tattoo on her right ankle of a vine, her left ankle of a dolphin and a cherry and a Chinese character tattooed on her neck (specific location of tattoo is not mentioned).
Details about Amber’s case: At the time of her disappearance, Amber as staying at Dwayne’s House, a transitional room and board support facility at the corner of 102 Street and 100 Avenue. Amber’s Dad dropped her off and she said she would call him in one hour. She never called. She was last seen at approximately 9:30pm on Sunday May 15, 2016. Surveillance video showed she never entered her building.

Amber lives with epilepsy and requires daily medication to manage her seizures. When she disappeared, it appears that her medication was left behind and after a few days without it, she would require medical attention. In addition to living with epilepsy, Amber also lives with Asperger’s syndrome (a form of Autism) which would make her very unlikely to just wander off on her own.

At the time of her disappearance Amber had been struggling with substance abuse. Her mother Marty and her father Roy have both said Amber was hoping to return to rehab. While her parents are aware that Amber may no longer be alive – as no one has filled her prescriptions, no one has shown up at a hospital with seizures fitting her description and they find it difficult to believe she hasn’t contacted anyone. Marty has said that Amber was in contact with at least one family member every day. It is definitely out of character that she would not be in contact with her family.

Even if she isn’t alive anymore, her family deserves closure. They want to bring her home. Amber’s family deserves closure. They all deserve peace.

On May 15, 2017, Edmonton Police Service announced that they deem Amber’s disappearance as suspicious. This was one year anniversary – to the day – of Amber’s disappearance.

To date, Amber has not been heard from and remains missing.
