Details About Velma’s Case: Velma’s family told authorities that she arrived in Williams Lake from the Gang Ranch / Canoe Creek area of British Columbia, Canada in May 1972 after having an argument with her common-law husband. Velma arrived at her sister’s residence and attended the downtown core of Williams Lake with her sister on May 3rd or 4th, 1972. Velma allegedly entered a local bar and this was said to be the last time she had been seen.
Velma’s family said that she was not depressed at the time she disappeared. Velma was looking forward to the birth of her twins later in the year. She has had no contact with loved ones since her disappearance; in addition, Velma has not utilized any services under her own name since that time.
