Details about Jody’s case: On February 27, 2009, Jody was reported missing to the Grande Prairie RCMP. Jody had attended a party at a friend’s apartment on February 22, 2009. She left the party but she was expected to return. Jody was last seen getting into an older, white car in the downtown area of Grande Prairie sometime later that night, or the early morning hours of February 23, 2009.

The individuals who were with her kept her phone and purse which her family felt was very strange because Jody never went anywhere without either. She was always in contact with family no matter where she was. Jody is the mother of 2 children.

Jody had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder but had stopped taking her medication prior to her disappearance. According to law enforcement, Jody was “known” to lead a “high risk lifestyle”.
(This could mean she hung out with a tough crowd or was known to police for any number of reasons – I am not going to speculate why this phrase was used by LE)

Jody’s sister Debra has been quoted saying, “I don’t care if it’s an anonymous letter written to me, I just want to know if there’s remains — where are they? That’s the key thing so we can have our funeral, we can have our closure.”

Jody’s family has had several conversations with the Grande Prairie RCMP in attempts to have her missing persons case changed to a homicide case as they believe Jody has met with foul play. Debra said that she still hopes by some miracle she come back but deep down she knows it is very unlikely. There is no way that she would willingly stay out of contact with her family, her children. Until her remains have been located, there is no closure for her family.

Jody got into a car on February 22-23, 2009 and has not been seen or heard from since. Someone saw something, someone knows something. Someone needs to come forward.
