Details About Myrna’s Case: Myrna was last seen on April 21, 1979. She had gone to visit her sister in La Loche, Saskatchewan with some friends. Her sister, Dora wanted her to go home to her mom but Myrna did not want to go. The next day their mom went over to Dora’s house and told her that Myrna never came home.

They contacted the police who told them she was likely out partying with her friends and would come back when she was ready. The Saskatoon RCMP say that Myrna was hanging around with a group of people at a party that night and was last seen around 5:00am outside a home in La Loche.

Dora says her sister was a fun and loving person. She used to come and clean up her home and babysit her kids. She was really helpful to her mom too.

She was told by a man from their community that he was out walking when Myrna was last seen and he had heard a girl screaming (for her mom) near a construction site. Dora believes that her sisters body is buried below the bar & garage that were built on this site.

Both Dora and their mom searched the bush but they never found Myrna. Myrna’s mom searched for her right up until the day she died.

It seems that the RCMP has not followed up on this lead.

This case is still and open case and the RCMP say that Myrna’s disappearance is suspicious. They are continuing to investigate whenever new information comes in.

Myrna’s niece, who was named after her, has since continued the search for her.
