There was a loud knocking on the door of Nicole’s door where she, her boyfriend and another friend were. She answered and after a brief interaction, multiple gunshots were heard. Nicole had been gunned down in the doorway of her ground level apartment.
On October 16, 2017, at approximately 3:40 am, a 911 call was placed by a male who stated that his girlfriend Nicole Dragisic, 37, had been shot. EMS arrived and transported Nicole to Hamilton General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Two men were seen running from the apartment soon after what the police are calling the “targeted attack” shooting. They were described as one being taller than the other and they were both wearing dark clothing. While no weapon was located, it is believed by Hamilton Police Service that a handgun was used.
It isn’t clear what led to this shooting. It is unclear if drugs or criminal activity was involved. There has been some cooperation from Nicole’s friends and associates but HPS continues to seek information on this investigation.
Nicole Dragisic was a mother of 5 children. Her case remains unsolved.
