Details About Murphy’s Case: Murphy was last seen at around 3:00am on the morning of August 15, 1974, at a farm residence near Mile 30 on the Alaska Highway where he had been working for two days. It was reported that Murphy was acting strangely throughout the night and when the farmer woke up around 7:30 a.m., Murphy was no longer at the residence. A thorough search of the property and surrounding area was also negative for him. It is believed that he may have attempted to walk from the labor camp to Fort St. John.
