Details About Christina’s Case: Christina was 27 years old when she disappeared from the Roseau River Reserve in Manitoba during the summer of 1968. The reserve is located just south of Winnipeg. The RCMP was advised that Christina went missing in the summer of 1968 after she was last seen walking into the woods with her common-law husband, Eddie Smith.

Some family and friends had thought she had moved to the United States to escape a “volatile situation.” It wasn’t until 1976 that a relative reached out to RCMP regarding her disappearance. RCMP looked into Christina’s case for two years but did not turn up any evidence of her whereabouts or make any arrests. She was declared legally dead in 1995.

In 2002, her former common-law partner, Eddie Smith, was arrested in connection with Christina’s disappearance and charged with second degree murder. He unfortunately passed away before he could be brought to trial. Her remains have not been located and she remains missing.
