A Little Bit About John Doe’s Case:
On October 2, 1970, the remains of a Caucasian male were found along Wellington County Road, near Guelph/Cambridge, Ontario. He had severe osteoarthritis in his lumbar area, which may have been painful. Found in close proximity were a yellow carpenter’s pencil and a tin spectacle case. 9 various buttons were found: 1 overcoat button, 1 trouser button, 3 shirt buttons, 4 underwear buttons; and some pieces of fabric that may be from a white shirt andjd2 white socks were also recovered. At the time it was believed to have been deceased for approximately 20 years.

Money: Six Canadian and American coins dated 1936-1945
Shoes: OXFORD, Half-soled size 7.5-8
Belt: Leather, Size 32 with a Steer’s head buckle
Hat: Grey, FEDORA, Hat band, initials “J.U”, “Calhoun’s”, ” Bathersby”
